The Wellcome Trust, Euston Road

The project was a refurbishment of the Wellcome Trust building on Euston Road, London. Atlantic Contracts were appointed to undertake all joinery works.

The joinery works were carried out over nine floors and consisted of a number of elements.

There was a complete door set and skirting package. All doors were pre-finished with either veneer or paint finish. There were several types of skirting, some to match existing types.

New Fan Coil Unit casings were made and fitted to cover existing units. These were made pre-finished and fitted by Atlantic joiners.

Walls were panelled with either veneer or paint finish to areas on four floors including curved and access panels.

Book shelving was fitted to two floors. These were pre-finished and fitted by Atlantic joiners.

Other elements of fixed and loose furniture were made and fitted, including cupboards and desks and also the main reception desk.

Mirrored walls were formed to Gym and Fitness rooms, with Atlantic Contracts forming the sub wall and fitting the mirrors including a door mirror opening.

A stage with removable desks was formed in the sub-basement Auditorium.

The existing Library and Reading rooms were refurbished by Atlantic Contracts Ltd using new materials to match old and French polishing all damaged areas.
