Royal Hospital Chelsea

This contract was a brand new traditional brickwork building formed with an inner courtyard. The project is situated on the Chelsea Bridge Road and was going to be the new infirmary for the Royal Chelsea Pensioners. We were responsible for manufacturing and installing all of the internal joinery. The scope of this work includes fixing of oak doors and frames, oak skirting, oak cappings, oak bookcases, oak barbers unit, oak bumpout units, oak and leather colonnade seating, bespoke kitchen units, leather and veneered reception desks, oak cornice and fixtures and fittings.

The project was carefully designed internally to have all the joinery items made from oak so as to replicate the existing infirmary. The veneers were carefully selected by the project architect for the doors and the joinery so as to gain a steady and consistent pattern along each corridor and floor when fitted between joinery units.
