Royal Hospital Chelsea - Roof

This contract was to form a brand new traditional brickwork building with an inner courtyard.

The project is situated on the Chelsea Bridge Road and is the new infirmary for the Royal Chelsea Pensioners.

We were responsible for constructing the new timber roof. This work included cutting and pitching of 9x2 rafters, cutting and fixing of 16x2 hip members, forming of 42 no dormer windows, hardwood mouldings around dormers, hardwood fascia and soffit and hardwood modillion mouldings to the underside of the soffit.
