Petchey Academy

Petchey Academy is a school in Hackney, London, and housing approximately 1200 students was part of the Government’s Education Policy.

The Main Contractor Vinci appointed Atlantic Contracts Ltd to supply and fit their joinery package.

The package consisted of 350 Doorsets, 3 Reception Desks, 70 Glazed Screens, 1500m² of Plywood Flooring, 4,000m of Skirting, Paneling to the Sports Hall and Roof Works.

The Desks and Doors were finished with laminate facings and were coloured according to whichever floor they were positioned on, with vibrant shades chosen by the architects Aedas. The result was a fresh bright environment for students and teachers to study and work in.

Atlantic Contracts Ltd worked closely with Vinci throughout the contract absorbing a lot of extra variations within the contract program.

The contract was an all round success for all concerned, finishing on time, within budget and to a high class finish.
