Guildford Hotel
The £60million development of the Guildford Radisson Hotel was built on the site of the historic White Horse Hotel and features 185 bedrooms, 38 private luxury apartments, a reception area, V.I.P lounge, bistro, restaurant, main bar area and lounge, a spa, a gym, a swimming pool and conference and meeting rooms all above a three storey underground car park.
Galliford Try appointed Atlantic Contracts to supply and fit joinery components to the reception, restaurants, relaxation areas, back of house areas and stair cores. This consisted of a copper topped main bar, zinc topped bistro bar, snack bar, bar shutter, shelving and storage to back bars, reception console, waiter station pods, waiter station island, DJ booth, wardrobes, smoke mirror feature wall opposite main bar, shop front doors and windows, corian shelf, feature ceiling, treatment room units, vanity units, business centre worktops, mirrors to gym and toilets, back of house shelving and stair strings with skirting to landings in six stair cores.
Atlantic Contracts worked closely with Galliford Try on the design and development of the joinery, producing detailed drawings which gained approval from their design managers. The result of which was a high standard of finish to the joinery that complimented the Architect’s overall design.
Atlantic Contracts also helped with the main hotel works, assisting Galliford Try to complete the hotel on programme by installing the joinery to all stair cores and carry out snagging works to bedroom wardrobes installed by others.
