Colchester Hospital

This project was the construction of a new Primary Care Facility in Colchester, Essex, to house a number of existing care departments, e.g. dental, podiatary, renal etc under one roof.

This three storey building was constructed on the site of existing hospital buildings and was constructed with a reinforced concrete frame. The external envelope was clad in a variety of face brickwork, decorative render and Western Red Cedar boards.

Atlantic Contracts Ltd were awarded the following works:

• Supply and installation of 350 veneered internal doorsets and solid hardwood external doorsets complete with ironmongery.
• Supply and installation of approx 400m² of timber framing and sheet material forming roofs over plant room areas.
• Design, supply and installation of approximately 500m² of Western Red Cedar external cladding.
• Design supply and installation of 30 fire rated and non fire rated timber framed glazed screens
• Design, supply and installation of 13 reception desks and nurses stations with a variety of glass, veneer and laminate finishes.
• Supply and installation of sundry window boards and skirtings.
